#1 Refine Your Set Up
Every good lift is built on a solid foundation, which means a great set-up.
By taking the time to make sure your body is exactly where it needs to be in relation to the bar, and then making sure you’ve applied tension to all the right muscle groups, you will provide a solid platform to safely and efficiently move more weight.
#2 Go slow
Lowering the weights slowly not only increases the safety of the lift, it also maximises your control of the weight.
Having more control of the weight means you don’t waste any energy, which therefore maximises the effort you can put into the lift.
